Our PP Recycling Process | Langgeng Jaya Group

If you're exploring how polypropylene (PP) recycling works, or you're considering whether Langgeng Jaya Group is the right supplier for high-quality recycled PP pellets — you're in the right place.

In this article, we’ll walk you through our complete PP recycling process, from collecting plastic waste to producing clean and consistent PP pellets. This is the same process we apply every day to ensure our recycled materials meet the practical needs of our clients.

Our PP Recycling Process

1. Collection of PP Plastic Waste

Our PP recycling process starts with collecting a wide range of polypropylene plastic waste, including:

  • Colored, black, white, and clear PP materials: from buckets, chairs, tubs, food containers and fruit baskets.

This early stage ensures we work with the right materials from the start.

To maintain consistent quality, we’re always looking to expand our supplier network. If you have access to clean or sorted PP waste and are interested in working with us, we invite you to become our supplier

2. Cleaning the PP Waste

To ensure purity, we wash the collected PP waste to remove dirt, oil, food residue, and labels. This cleaning process is essential to the success of PP recycling, helping us maintain high product quality at every stage.

3. Grinding into Flakes

Once cleaned, the plastic waste is ground into small pieces — making it easier to handle and process. This is a key step in preparing the material for advanced PP recycling techniques.

4. Advanced Cleaning & Separation

We use specialized washing and separation techniques to further purify the material and remove any unwanted substances.

We clean our tanks regularly to maintain processing accuracy.

This results in exceptionally clean PP flakes — a critical factor in producing reliable recycled material.

5. Moisture Removal

After washing, we use high-speed advanced dryers to remove moisture from the flakes, maintaining the quality of the material.

6. Metal Detection

In the next phase, flakes pass through a metal detector to identify and eliminate any remaining metal contaminants — ensuring safety and purity throughout our PP recycling process.

7. Thermal Preparation

Before extrusion, the plastic material is pre-heated using shredder section machines. This softens the plastic for a smoother extrusion process.

8. Extrusion and Pelletizing

The prepared material is melted, filtered, and converted into uniform recycled pellets, suitable for a wide range of applications.

9. Drying (Pellets)

The recycled plastic pellets go through another centrifugal dryer to remove any excess moisture before packaging.

10. Final Packing

Lastly, we weighed and packed the recycled PP pellets into bulk bag / jumbo bags, ready for transport to our partners and clients around the globe.
